ELRICHMAN I MOSTLY CONSUME

‘I Mostly Consume’ comes from Elrichman’s (Coronavirus-delayed) album Heaven’s Mayor. The jangly, poppy track takes influence from his own projects, Goosebump and Ducks Unlimited while dipping in and out of as many tempos and changes in style as possible. Lyrically, the track focuses on consumption and the notion that most of the planet’s function is built on the desire to consume. He explains that “‘I Mostly Consume’ is about feeling like you exist on this earth mostly to consume, which is the sense I have sometimes. The bridges set scenes of impending doom, but everything else is pretty cheery so I guess I'm a blissful consumer!”. Be on the lookout for his first album since 2014’s Young, Healthy And Wonderful this summer. - Dan Peeke
